In this brief excerpt from The The Joy of Stats, Hans Rosling tells a story of the world in 200 countries over 200 years using 120,000 numbers -- in just four minutes.  A remarkable visualization but, given the imminent, multiple, unprecedented stresses and threats posed by the energy, population and climate crises, a very wishful conclusion.  Followed by his 20-minute TED talk.
