1. Call to EMERGENCY Action

ecoSanity.org engages a diverse and passionate on-line community to promote, organize and mobilize in support of a variety of, both our own, and other organizations' and coalitons' initiatives to confront corporations and lawmakers and to stage high-profile public activities and protests. Based in Toronto, Canada, and rooted in scientific, economic, political, environmental and social honesty, we:

• Advocate for an official international declaration of a state of global climate emergency to make possible the implementation
  of a rapid cultural transformation on a scale unlike anything humanity has ever faced before. (See item 2: Hard Truth)

• Advocate for the rapid, systemic re-conception of our global political and economic processes toward just, equitable, post-partisan, post-carbon and post-rapacious, pathological consumerism incarnations that, unlike their current forms, can accommodate the sweeping action necessary to attempt to ensure our survival

• Work to help engage, empower and inspire an emergency international mass-mobilization to confront, mitigate, adapt to and, via a multitude of possibilities, reverse the devastating impacts, losses and social injustices that have both already been caused, and have yet to be unleashed, by the climate crisis.

2. Hard Truth

ecoSanity.org works to expose the true extent of diluted, mainstream misinformation about 'global warming' (global heating, global climate destabilization, global weather extreming, global mass extinction, global ecocide) and re-frame it as the clear, present, unprecedented and accelerating threat that it is to the survival of all people and most species within the lifetimes of today's children.

We give concise, uncompromised opinions on the issues as we see them and strive to make our content as accessible, response-oriented and to-the-point as possible. Our desire is not to prophesize doom, nor is it to sooth or comfort. It is to empower people, inspire engagement and effect rapid change.

3. Eco-Portal to the Best, by the Best

If you need to know it, we post it. ecoSanity.org is a powerful gateway to the foremost sources for all the latest, most essential and influential environment-related developments, research and opinion.

4. Emphasis on Social Justice

It is impossible to advocate for ecological sustainability without an equal commitment to expose and denounce issues of social inequity and economic injustice. With 50% of all greenhouse gasses contributed by only 13% of the world's total population, the way we in rich nations have CHOSEN to live, KILLS the people of the poorest, undeveloped countries - those least responsible for the problem and least able to combat our shameful, negligent, on-going releases of global heating emissions.

We aspire to speak to, reflect and involve people of all ages, genders, orientations, abilities, religions and cultures.

ecoSanity.org promotes the urgent need for emergency action, activism and environmental sustainability through frank, mobile, face- to-face interaction at group events and speaking engagements. With an emphasis on effective, passionate, transformative messages and methods that don't hold back, our aim is to communicate in ways we all relate to and inspire in ways we will all respond to.
