As a volunteer activist and advocacy organization, one of our many ongoing challenges is to inspire YOU to attend activities and actions. Those of you who do so regularly (with any organization) know what a difference a few more committed minds and bodies can make:
• 3 banners vs. 1, 10 placards vs. 3
• featured media exposure vs. a buried footnote
• an undeniable presence that fills the frame
• the sustenance of group energy and comaraderie
• greater communication, appeal and influence
• faster growth, support, good will
• success, jubilation and satisfaction
Willingness to contribute through written, resource or financial support is essential and, by all means, please don't hesitate to donate!
But in many ways, the most impressive and empowering contribution any individual can offer is actual, enthusiastic attendance because it is uncommon, often courageous and always impactful.
In these crucial times for climate action, we can't overemphasize how helpful and influential it can be to participate, make noise, expand our numbers, fill the frame and inspire an even greater turn-out in the future.
